Frequently Asked Questions

My Better Half is the live comedy game show that asks one dangerous question: how well do you really know your partner? Here's everything you need to know before the answers — and possibly the excuses — begin.

How does the show work?

Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the show starts promptly at 7:00 PM. Before showtime, guests can check in, invent a ridiculous couple alias, complete a pre-show mixer activity, grab a drink, and meet the couples in the room. Once the show begins, three couples take the stage and compete through three rounds to discover who knows their partner best. Partners answer questions separately, reunite, and reveal whether their answers match. Expect crowd work, surprise challenges, audience voting, a brief intermission, prizes, and at least one answer that will be discussed again on the ride home. Plan on about two hours of show, with the final applause around 9:00 PM.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are $20 per person. The price is always shown in the ticket listings above before you purchase. We save the unexpected surprises for the stage — not the checkout screen.

What does a ticket to the show include?

Your ticket includes admission to the complete live comedy game show, the pre-show mixer, and the materials you need to play along from your seat. You can predict the winning couple, submit relationship questions, vote during audience challenges, and cheer for whichever team seems least likely to implode. Food and drinks are purchased separately unless the event listing specifically says they are included. Prizes, bragging rights, and emergency relationship counseling are not guaranteed.

What is your show rated?

My Better Half walks the line between PG-13 and R. Expect grown-up relationship humor, suggestive questions, and candid answers from real couples. Large parts of the show are built around audience interaction, so the language can occasionally wander into delightfully unpredictable territory. In other words: adult date night, not family movie night.

Where do you perform and where can I park?

My Better Half currently performs at The SpeakCheesy Lounge, 120 S Mason St in Fort Collins, CO. Parking is free, and a full bar and food menu are available. You will find a map and venue details in the Get Tickets & Venue Info section above, and the address is also in your confirmation. As the show heads to new cities, each venue's address and parking details will be listed with its tickets. We want you comparing answers with your partner — not comparing parking apps while the opening music plays.

What is your dress code?

There is no formal dress code. Date-night casual is perfect: jeans, dresses, collared shirts, sneakers, or whatever makes you feel like the best version of yourself. Matching outfits are completely optional, although they may make it much easier for the host to notice you. They still will not earn your team bonus points.

What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring your confirmation page and a valid photo ID to gain admission to the show. A sense of humor is strongly recommended. We provide the play-along materials; you provide the person who insists they know everything about you.

What is your age limit?

All guests must be 21 or older, and a valid photo ID is required for admission. Expect adult relationship humor, suggestive material, and language that may vary with audience interaction — this is an adult night out, not a family show.

Do I have to participate in the show?

No. Taking part in the onstage competition is entirely optional. Three volunteer couples compete, while everyone else can play along, cheer, vote, submit questions, and enjoy the show from their seats. Volunteering does not guarantee selection.

Can I bring a group of people?

Absolutely. My Better Half is a great choice for double dates, birthdays, anniversaries, friend groups, and anyone who enjoys watching couples discover that they remember the same vacation very differently. When possible, purchase tickets together. Seating and group arrangements vary by venue, so larger groups should contact the venue or ticketing team before purchasing. Coordinated couple aliases are encouraged; coordinated outfits remain your own questionable decision.

Can I reschedule my tickets?

Tickets are issued for a specific performance. Rescheduling policies vary by venue and ticket provider, so contact the ticketing team as soon as possible if your plans change. Any move is subject to availability and the terms shown when you purchased your tickets, and a change cannot be guaranteed. Relationships require flexibility; sold-out calendars are considerably less understanding.

Come ready to laugh with your partner… Laughing at them is allowed too, but only if they started it.
